Along with the Statue of Liberty the Empire State Building is one of those structures that is instantly recognisable when you see it.  When we arrived there it was a 2 hour wait to take the lift to the top so we purchased express passes that got us up there within 5 minutes.

We arrived at the top when it was dark so we could see all the lights of Manhattan.
